Version 6.0 includes improved transport networks editing and viewing. The shape of links and areas are stored within the internal database using a different format . As a result, network reading, display and memory usage are significantly improved. The network editing operations have been simplified. A new context sensitive snapping principle has been introduced where depending on your mouse click, the network editor automatically figures out what your intentions are.
The display of networks has been further improved by offering a new approach to coordinate systems. Version 6.0 distinguishes between a network coordinate system and network projection. Multiple national grid systems are now supported and projected in the correct way. This enhances the possibilities for the use of satellite images.
For selections of objects, the database now stores not only the selected objects, but also the shape that was used to create the selection. This allows to quickly update the selections in a modified network or in other variants. In addition, you can switch between different selection modes for the shape: internal, crossing, external and the 'cordon' selection type.
