We recently added Omni-X and Q-HOT to our software solutions for traffic modelling and we are now the official dealer of Omni-X and Q-HOT. We develop, maintain and support both applications.
Omni-X enables you to analyse signalised and un-signalised junctions prior to implementing the actual junctions, with respect to the junction’s traffic handling performance. Based on this traffic handling performance you are able to decide which junction type fits your purpose.
Licensed Omni-X users can now benefit from our professional helpdesk and technical support. The development group is currently working on the next edition of Omni-X. The application will be updated in 2012 with new functionality and a new look-and-feel.
Q-HOT calculates junction clearance times for signalised junctions. Based on the junction layout (e.g. from AutoCAD), the signal plan and drive curves specified by you, Q-HOT performs all the necessary calculations. Calculating clearance times used to be a manual job, based on drive curves that had to be drawn on paper. This process was a labour intensive and error-prone job. With Q-HOT the calculation is automated, so the tool reduces time, errors and cost.
Initially Goudappel Coffeng developed Q-HOT, however during 2011 the development was moved to Omnitrans International. We released the first version of Q-HOT in May 2011. In spring 2012 we will release a new version of Q-HOT with more functionality and support of the new, upcoming Dutch standards and an international edition.
