In The Netherlands there are several Dynamic Traffic Management Systems in operation, such as MONICA, MONIBAS and BOSS Online, which provide inputs into systems such as Dynamic Route Information Panel (DRIP) and Intelligent Speed Adaptation (ISA). Collectively, these systems are used to used to improve traffic flows and reducing congestion, and are underpinned by the need for accurate 'real-time' monitoring of traffic flows on links across the network.

Such data comes from induction loops across the National highway, and for these systems to work properly it is vital to know the exact location loops, given that they are replaced; deleted or new ones are added on a regular basis.

Whenever this happens, the configuration of the software has to be updated. We provide this service by means of two programs as well as mathematical and traffic engineering insights.

Associated with this project is the supply of traffic data to the NDW (Nationale Databank Wegverkeersgegevens, or National Datawarehouse).
