OmniTRANS Remote Hosting
Traffic models are increasing in size and complexity. As a result of this the hardware requirements are sometimes exceeding the standard office computer. Apart from that, the stakeholders of a model are more and more located in different municipalities. They all would like to access the same traffic model.
In 2011 Omnitrans International has started a new service called Remote Hosting. With this product you can develop, maintain and analyze your model over the internet. All features of OmniTRANS are available. The model and the software are run on very powerful computers in our datacenter in Deventer, The Netherlands.
This means that you do not have to install any software and data on your local computer anymore. Even back-ups are handled by us. The hardware, the operating system and OmniTRANS are kept up to data automatically. You will always have the latest version.
The computers in the datacenter are protected using a modern security system and you control who can access your model. Every client gets his own computer with a very fast i-7 quad processor and 4GB RAM. Every computer is installed with Windows-7 (64bit). A hard disk of 1TB is provided. Special configurations on request.
Access to the server is not limited and there are no limits to the number of users who get access to your model. Keep in mind that only one user can access the model at a time.
